Lori Vazquez, M.S., ATC-L, EMT, was named Head Athletic Trainer at NCCU in August 1994. She is the current District III representative on the Ethnic Diversity Advisory Council. She is affectionately known as "Squeeze."

Lori spent eight weeks at the 1996 Summer Olympic Games in Atlanta as the Chief Athletic Trainer for the men's and women's basketball venue at Morehouse College. Since 1996 she has also worked as the Head Athletic Trainer for the Duke Men's Soccer camps. In 1998, Vazquez worked as the Medical Director for the State Special Olympics Volleyball venue in Chapel Hill, NC. In 1999, she was named the Medical Director for the World Special Olympics Badminton Venue on NCCU's campus.

Softball has long been a part of Lori’s life. She played at the high school and collegiate levels and coached the NCCU softball team in 2000-01.

One thing that Lori would like Athletic Training Students to do is to approach each day as a learning opportunity. “Take advantage of the physicians and other professionals that come to your school and absorb as much information as you can.”
