Lyn Nakagawa was hired as a full time assistant athletic trainer at the University of Hawaii-Manoa. Nakagawa has worked in this capacity since the Fall of 2007.Currently her primary responsibility is Men's Basketball, and she assists with Football.

Prior to arriving back in her home state of Hawaii, Nakagawa served as an assistant athletic trainer at Oregon State University from 2003-2007. Lyn originally joined the Oregon State athletic training staff from 2000-02 as a graduate assistant while pursuing her Masters Degree in Exercise and Sport Science with emphasis in Sports Medicine.

Nakagawa got her start in athletic training at the University of Puget Sound in Washington where she served as a student athletic trainer from 1997-2000. Upon graduation with honors in 2000, she received her Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science.
