Ethnic Diversity Advisory Committee Town Hall Meeting

The Ethnic Diversity Advisory Committee is issuing a call for abstracts for poster presentations at the 2009 Annual Meeting and Clinical Symposium. The posters will be presented during the EDAC Town Hall meeting on the evening of Wednesday, June 17, 2009.

Individuals interested in sharing original research and/or other scholarly works are encouraged to complete the subcommittee’s online, “Call for Abstracts” form at the link below:

Individuals may submit only one abstract for poster presentation as primary (presenting) author, but may submit unlimited abstracts as a secondary author. All abstracts will undergo blind review.

Requirements: Abstracts must reflect the mission of the Ethnic Diversity Advisory Committee which is identifying and addressing issues relevant to an ethnically diverse population. Examples of this may include highlighting ethnically diverse health care concerns, assisting with increasing ethnic diversity in the athletic training profession, and examining ethnic diversity in athletic training education programs.

Selection Criteria: All abstracts will be reviewed by each member of the Committee for applicability, content, and potential benefit to the membership.

Submission is due by April 15, 2009.  Presenters will be notified by May 1, 2009.  If you have any questions, please email anitaj@nata.org.
